Pipelines: Chobe/Zambezi Water Transfer Scheme

Prefeasibility and Feasibility studies were done on the utilisation of the water resources of the Chobe/Zambezi River. Investigations included water demand computations, hydraulic design of associated infrastructure services (2100mm diameter pipeline, length 500km), pipe route selection, life cycle cost estimates and economic analysis.

Water & Waste Water Treatment Works: Nsezi Water Treatment Works Upgrade

The project entailed the rehabilitation of existing works, construction of a new Inlet Tower, 48 diameter Clarifier, 4 Filters, 500kℓ reservoir, prechlorination room and Interconnecting Pipework to increase capacity from 150Mℓ/day as well as the refurbishment and upgrade of the DAF plant.

Township Services: Theewaterskloof

NAKO ILISO provided the professional services for the development of approximately 3000 housing units in the Theewaterskloof Municipality. The infrastructure provision ranged from Emergency Housing Programmes (EHP) to low and medium cost housing developments. The professional services were provided for the entire project life cycle applicable to water, sanitation, roads and storm water.

Rural Development: Komga Commonage Settlement Project

This project included the design and construction of gravel roads and storm-water drainage infrastructure and water reticulation to 1140 erven via standpipes to RDP standards. Six SMME contractors were awarded learnership contracts and the necessary advice and guidance was provided by the engineer.
