Hans Hartung obtained his BSc Engineering degree from the University of Cape Town (UCT) and later, while working, complemented this with a Certificate in Project Management.
With over 30 years of consulting engineering experience, Hans has gained extensive experience in design, documentation and contract administration on a variety of disciplines within civil engineering, including: bulk water and sewerage infrastructure, structures, commercial, residential and industrial township services.
He has a passion for sustainable and “green” development and applies appropriate technology and design principles to achieve this objective in all his projects. He has worked on projects in Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Nigeria and South Africa.
Hans has been a director of ILISO Consulting (Pty) Ltd. (now trading as NAKO ILISO) since November 2000. In August 2004, he was appointed as the regional managing director for the Western Cape and he is currently the Managing Director for International Business. He also manages sustainable development initiatives within NAKO ILISO.
