Mr Colin Raman graduated from the University of Natal in 1988 with 11 distinctions, including winning the JR Daymond Prize for hydraulic engineering.

He is a civil engineer with over 25 years’ experience in consulting engineering. His key experience lies in the upgrading and rehabilitation of major roads and highways. Moreover, he has gained experience and expertise in various other disciplines, including bulk water and sanitation, structures and project management.

Mr Raman was appointed to the board of ILISO Consulting (Pty) Ltd. (now trading as NAKO ILISO) in April 2004 and he is currently the head of ILISO Consulting’s Transportation Discipline Group as well the KwaZulu-Natal regional director.
